Cookie policy
Last updated: 24 August 2026. Data controller: CoteBoost Media SAS.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you use an online service. It allows information to be kept between two visits — for example your consent choice.
2. Our approach
We apply a simple principle: nothing beyond the strictly necessary is placed until you have given your agreement. The banner shown on your first visit offers “Accept all” and “Reject” with the same level of prominence, in line with CNIL guidance. Rejecting is as quick as accepting.
3. Cookies we use
| Name | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| coteboost_consent | Stores your acceptance or rejection choice | Strictly necessary | 6 months |
| coteboost_session | Browsing security and contact form integrity | Strictly necessary | Session |
| _ca_stats | Anonymised audience measurement (page views, traffic source) | Consent required | 13 months |
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off: without them, your decision to refuse could not be remembered. They serve no advertising purpose.
4. What we do not use
- no retargeting advertising cookies;
- no social network pixels;
- no data sharing with data brokers;
- no device fingerprinting.
5. Changing your choice
You can change your mind at any time: reopen the consent banner. You can also delete the cookies already placed from your browser settings (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) or browse in private mode.
6. Third-party cookies on an outbound click
When you click a link to an operator, that operator may place its own cookies on its own domain. Those cookies fall under its policy, which we encourage you to read. CoteBoost has no access to that information and does not use it.
7. Legal basis and duration
Necessary cookies rest on the publisher’s legitimate interest in providing a working service; measurement cookies rest on your consent (article 82 of the French Data Protection Act). No consent is kept beyond 6 months without asking again.
8. Contact
Any question about cookies: privacy@coteboost.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
